Services
Whilst every client is different, most of the work we do for our client’s falls into two distinct categories:
The first level of service is "targeted advice" where we are simply asked by a client for advice on a "one off transaction", such as:
- Drawing the benefits from pension plan.
- Arranging some life insurance.
- Arranging a Stocks and Share ISA.
- Setting up a simple pension arrangement.
Normally these transactions once arranged are only reviewed at the client’s request. We may from time to time keep in touch by for example a newsletter. This service suits clients whose affairs are relatively simple, or ones who prefer to control their own finances and investments.
The second level of service is a more comprehensive service and is designed for clients’s whose financial affairs are more complex, or have a greater number of investments to manage. This service involves the use of a risk profile questionnaire. This risk profile is then applied to an independently produced asset allocation model. Then individual funds are selected, using a series of objective criteria, such as past performance, fund managers tenure, quartile rankings, OBSR and Citywire Ratings.
Quarterly Review. Then most importantly the funds used are reviewed every 3 months and clients advised when any changes are required. Clients are also asked at least annually to complete a new risk profile questionnaire, so that their investments continue to precisely match their attitude to investment risk.
Whilst this sounds complex, in reality the process is simple and straight forward and very worthwhile, as it ensures that you the client are never invested into underperforming or inappropriate funds.
