Review Process
Overtime rates and tax allowances change, insurance companies merge, funds close, investments perform or fail to perform as expected and so financial plans however basic benefit from being reviewed from time to time. We therefore look to formalise and agree, when and how investments will be reviewed and how such reviews will be funded.
Service Proposition One. Some of our clients have significant equity portfolios and or investments held via Trusts arrangements, or monies held on behalf of Trustees and Charities. For theses portfolios we offer access to a dedicated Stockbroker, who provides the investment advice, with Coleman Clough restricting our advice to product and tax wrappers. This service by its nature tends to be more expensive and therefore only suits portfolios of £250,000 and above.
Service Proposition Two. Portfolio 90 Service. With this service you receive the following benefits:
- You will receive a quarterly comprehensive investment valuation.(February May August and November)
- Each quarter each of your funds will be comprehensively reviewed against 12 objective criteria to ensure consistency and top quartile performance.
- Any underperforming funds will be identified and a replacement recommended.Your signature will be required to confirm any actual switches, which are free of charge.
- Annually you will be given the opportunity to request a face to face investment review and confirm any changes to your personal circumstances or attitude to investment risk.
Service Proposition Three. Some investments like annuities are fixed for life and so do not need to be reviewed; other products may only need to be reviewed infrequently. Under service proposition three, we hold on our system details of your investments, providing ongoing general servicing, but do commit to any pre-determined review frequency, leaving it to the client to request and pay for any reviews as and when they determine these are required. Coleman Clough may contact you from time to time regarding the progress of your investment, send you a newsletter, or to suggest a review maybe needed, but will not commit to do so.
